Recently had an alternator replaced. It went bad again (bad part, not their fault). They towed the vehicle, and had it fixed, along with replacing the serpentine belt and an oil change, within 24 hours. I'd recommend these guys any time

Looking for auto repair in Warrenville, Graniteville or anywhere on the Midland Valley side of Aiken County? C&C Automotive at 2355 Jefferson Davis Highway, directly across from Aiken Technical College, has kept work trucks and daily drivers running here since 2019.
Around the Shop

This is the Midland Valley repair shop people use for an oil change, brake repair, a wheel alignment, car AC repair or a transmission fluid change, and for the truck that cannot afford a day off. A technician looks the vehicle over first, and photos and a written estimate land on your phone before a wrench turns.
Warrenville sits on US-1 between Aiken and the Graniteville mill towns, and much of what rolls in here works for a living: contractor pickups loaded with tools, trucks pulling trailers on back roads, and commuter cars racking up miles to Aiken, North Augusta and Augusta. Our bays are set up for that kind of wear.
A truck that tows or idles on a job site uses up its oil faster than the odometer suggests. The oil life monitors on GM, Ford and Ram pickups factor in engine load and temperature, which is why the percentage drops quickly after a few weekends hauling a camper or a loaded trailer. We set the next due date by how the truck is actually used, not by a sticker printed for highway commuters.
Every Warrenville oil change matches the viscosity and approval your owner's manual calls for, whether that is 0W-20 in a Honda or Toyota, 5W-30 in many turbocharged trucks, or a GM engine that needs dexos1 Gen 3 oil. The filter is replaced every time, and on cartridge-style housings the o-ring is replaced too, because a reused seal is a common source of a slow drip.
While the truck is on the lift we look at what back-road miles do: torn CV and tie rod boots, weeping axle seals, a skid plate packed with red clay and a leaking differential cover. Anything worth knowing gets a photo. Oil changes are usually finished the same day, and Aiken Tech students can drop off before class and pick up after. Check our oil change coupons first. See oil change in Graniteville and Warrenville for oil types and intervals.
When people search auto repair from Graniteville, Clearwater or Langley, the closest C&C is this one on Jefferson Davis Highway. The work covers the whole vehicle: starting and charging problems, cooling system leaks and overheating, suspension and steering, electrical faults, and factory maintenance at 30,000, 60,000 and 90,000 miles.
Car repair in Warrenville should start with a measurement, not a guess. A coolant leak gets a pressure test so the exact hose, water pump or radiator seam shows itself. A battery that keeps dying gets a draw test after the car is locked. An engine that runs rough gets its live data read while it runs, so the repair targets the part that failed. Small jobs are usually same day; bigger ones get a same-day diagnosis and a clear time frame.
Drivers who need a mechanic in Warrenville and Graniteville have left hundreds of Google reviews for this shop, and the same words come up: honest, fair, explained it. That is the C&C standard since 1977, backed by ASE-certified technicians and a company AAA Approved since 2001. It is why so many Midland Valley customers call us the best mechanic near me. Read the reviews.
Here is what that means on a ticket. You approve each line separately, a part that tests fine stays on the vehicle, and if a repair can wait until payday we tell you that plainly. Repairs are covered by a 2-year / 24,000-mile warranty in most cases, and this shop stands behind its own work.
Truck repair in the Midland Valley means F-150s, Silverados, Sierras and Ram 1500s and 2500s that tow, haul and sit idling on job sites. Those trucks wear out a predictable set of parts: front wheel bearing hubs that start to hum at 45 miles per hour, ball joints and tie rod ends loosened by washboard dirt roads, U-joints that clunk when shifting into drive, and 4WD front axle actuators that fail to engage.
Fluids get neglected on trucks more than anything else. Front and rear differentials and the transfer case all carry their own gear oil, and towing heats them up. A whine that changes with speed, not engine revs, often traces back to a differential. We check those fluids, look for leaking pinion and axle seals, and give you the honest call on what needs doing now and what can wait.
A truck that cannot work costs more than the repair. Tell us when the truck has to be back on the job, and we will tell you up front whether that is realistic.
Soft shoulders, potholes on county roads and the drop off a paved edge onto dirt are hard on alignment. So is a leveling kit: raising the front of a truck changes camber and toe, and a truck leveled without an alignment chews the inside edges of its front tires. Tire wear tells the story. Feathered tread points to toe, one edge worn smooth points to camber, and a truck that wanders on US-1 can point to caster or worn steering parts.
Before any adjustment, our technicians check the parts that hold the angles: tie rods, ball joints, control arm bushings and wheel bearings. Adjusting around a loose part only lasts until the next pothole. Then every angle is set to spec, the truck is road tested and you get a before-and-after printout. Many newer vehicles also need the steering angle sensor reset after an alignment so lane-keeping and stability control work correctly. Most wheel alignments are done the same day. Stuck on Jefferson Davis Highway, a Graniteville back road or anywhere in the Midland Valley? C&C 24-hour towing brings the vehicle to our Warrenville shop. Call the shop during business hours, and call our tow driver at 706-945-3370 nights, weekends and holidays.
Help the driver plan the hookup. Say whether the vehicle is 4WD or all-wheel drive, whether it is lifted or leveled, and whether the bed is loaded with tools or materials. An all-wheel-drive vehicle should never roll on its own wheels behind a tow truck, and a lifted truck changes how it has to be loaded. If it quit with a bang, a grinding sound or steam, say so; that tells the technician where to start.
Because the tow ends at a C&C repair shop, the codes stored when the engine quit are still there to read. The technician pins down what failed and phones you with the fix, the cost and how long it will take. No second tow, no stranger's shop. Read how towing in Graniteville and Warrenville works around the clock.
Weight is what wears brakes, and a pickup with a full bed or a trailer behind it asks the front brakes to absorb far more heat than a sedan. That heat glazes pads, warps rotors into a pulsing pedal and cooks old brake fluid. Fluid that has soaked up moisture boils at a lower temperature, which is how a pedal goes soft halfway down a long grade with a load on.
Every brake job at our Warrenville shop replaces pads and rotors together; worn rotors are replaced, not resurfaced. Trucks that tow get pads made for heat, caliper slides are cleaned and lubricated so the pads release evenly, and the brake hoses, steel lines and fluid are checked. Wheels are tightened with a torque wrench to factory spec, not an impact gun. If you run a trailer with electric brakes, have the trailer side checked too: a trailer that does not brake its share puts that load on the truck.
ABS and traction control lights get a scan and a wheel speed sensor test before anything is replaced; mud and rust on a sensor ring can set the light on trucks driven on dirt. Most brake jobs here are finished the day they come in. Our brake repair in Warrenville page covers each step.
Heat kills automatic transmissions, and towing is the fastest way to make heat. A common rule of thumb in the trade: every 20 degrees above normal operating temperature roughly halves the life of the fluid. That is why tow/haul mode, a working transmission cooler and fluid on the severe-service schedule matter so much on a work truck. Warning signs include slipping under load, flare between gears, a shudder at steady speed and a temperature warning on the dash.
Today's 8-, 9- and 10-speed automatics are run by a computer that adapts shift timing to the driver and the load. A rough shift after a battery replacement or a repair can be the transmission relearning, and some need that relearn done with a scan tool. Our technicians read the codes and the fluid temperature data, inspect the fluid, road test under load and only then recommend anything from a cooler line repair to a transmission replacement.
Diagnosis happens the day the truck arrives, along with a realistic time frame for the repair. A leaking cooler line and a worn-out transmission are very different bills, and you see the price before work starts. See what transmission repair in Warrenville involves.
On a gravel or dirt road, the condenser in front of the radiator takes a beating from rocks and dust, and a pinhole there is a common reason an AC system slowly goes warm over a summer. Large SUVs and vans add long rear AC lines that run under the body, where road debris and rust find them. Clogged condenser fins from dust and debris also cut cooling at idle, even with a full charge.
Refrigerant never wears out, so a low charge means it leaked out somewhere. Electronic leak detectors and dye pin down where it escaped. After the repair, the system sits under vacuum to confirm it holds, then gets refilled by weight to the charge printed on the under-hood label. If the compressor has failed internally, the job also covers flushing the lines, a new receiver-drier or accumulator, and the right type and amount of compressor oil.
Older vehicles run R-134a and many newer ones run R-1234yf; the Warrenville shop works on both. A recharge without fixing the leak only buys a few weeks. Read about car AC repair. The full process for car AC repair in Warrenville is on our AC page.
Transmission fluid is easy to forget because many trucks no longer have a dipstick. Checking those means pulling a fill plug while a scan tool shows the fluid has reached a specific temperature; skip that step and the level ends up wrong. Dark fluid or a burnt smell is a sign the fluid has been cooked by heat.
A drain and fill swaps only part of the fluid, because a good share stays in the torque converter and cooler lines; some transmissions are designed for exactly that, and others call for a full fluid exchange. Some also have a filter in the pan that should be replaced with the fluid. We follow the maker's procedure and use the exact fluid your transmission calls for, since the wrong fluid can cause the very shudder or harsh shifting you are trying to prevent. If the truck tows, use the severe-service interval. Learn more about a transmission fluid change. Read more about transmission fluid change in Warrenville.

Let me tell you a story about this C&C Location! A few days ago my tire blew out right down the street from the shop. I was in panic mode because I couldn't get the lug nuts off. I remembered they were down the street so I took a chance and called! Christina answered the call and made magic happen! She got one of their amazing techs, Doug, who came down to my location, put on my spare, took my rim and busted tire back to the shop. While I went on to work, these folks got a tire for me and had it ready to as soon as I left Aiken to head home to Evans. I stopped by right before they closed and I was back on the road again. I was blown away by the amazing compassion and level of service that Christina & Doug showed me! C&C has been around forever and I'm grateful! I told my Dad about what happened and he wasn't even surprised because 40yrs ago he always went to the in downtown Augusta! Thank you so much for your help on Wednesday I would have stranded! Keep being amazing!!!

Doug coming out to put on your spare, taking your rim and tire back to the shop, and having everything ready before you headed home to Evans is exactly the kind of compassion and service we believe in.
