C&C Automotive has been fixing cars in Augusta since 1977, and this is the shop where it all started. The business moved around downtown in the early years before settling into our building at 990 Telfair Street in 1995. That is nearly thirty years at the same corner, and we are not going anywhere.

If you live or work anywhere from downtown to National Hills to North Augusta, you have probably driven past us a hundred times. This is the flagship of a family-owned business, and it still runs like one.

The Shop Where C&C Started

We opened our first shop in Augusta almost fifty years ago, back when most cars on the road still had carburetors. C&C outgrew a couple of downtown locations before landing on Telfair Street, and this building has been home ever since.

A lot of our downtown customers are second and third generation, people whose parents brought their cars to us decades ago. That kind of loyalty is not won with coupons. It is won by fixing the car right, explaining the bill in plain English, and standing behind the work.

35 Bays, and What That Means for You

This is our largest location by a wide margin. We have 35 service bays, seven ASE-certified technicians, and five ASE Master Mechanics under one roof. For you, that means shorter waits. We can usually take your car in while other shops are booking two weeks out.

It also means depth. A transmission rebuild, an intermittent electrical fault, a problem two other shops could not pin down, the size of this shop lets us keep that kind of expertise on staff, along with the equipment to match. That depth covers the Ford, Chevrolet, and Ram pickups and the Jeep and GMC SUVs that fill Augusta driveways just as much as it covers the family sedan.

Summer A/C and Cooling, Often Same-Day

Augusta summers are hard on a car. Stop-and-go heat wears down your A/C compressor, cooks your coolant, and pushes the whole cooling system to its limit. The worst time to find out your air conditioning is weak is in the middle of a July afternoon on Broad Street.

    I was at advance auto parts next door getting my battery tested (it was bad). They could not change it due to the type of vehicle. I would have to go to an auto repair shop. Only problem was my car was completely dead and advance auto parts equipment was too weak to jump it. I called C&C automotive at 5:26 pm (they close at 5:30pm) the sweetest lady by the name of Jamie answered the phone. I explained to her what was going on and asked if i could get my car running could someone please put a battery in today. She placed me on hold and came back to the phone and stated she has a tech by the name of Justin that would walk over and give me a jump to get me to the shop and he will stay and change my battery. I just hope Jamie and Justin know what a blessing they were to me that day. It’s just me and my daughter so i have no idea what i would have done if they did not come to my rescue! If i could give Jamie and Justin more than 5 stars i would!! This was intended for Washington rd location !
